They look exactly like Ukrainian cross stitch patterns, mainly from the Carpathian Mountains region of Ukraine. I was also intrigued to come across a Huichol ethnographic group of Mexico. In Ukrainian Carpathians we got an ethnographic group called Hutsul. It got me intrigued:the similarities in name and men's folk shirts embroidery is rather striking. By the way,your first name suggests you're either Ukrainian or Russian,while the embroidery designs featured in this blog do look strikingly like the ones I've got among my Ukrainian embroidery collections.
